Linda Blair

Linda Linda LindaLinda Blair was five years old when she was the youngest child actor to be cast in The Exorcist. She had played the role of model for three years before she acted in the role of the child who was possessed Regan. Linda quickly gained world fame and won the Golden Globe, and seemed poised to get an Academy Award for that role However, after it was revealed how some parts in the film weren't done by the actress herself (the demon voice was recorded through Mercedes McCambridge, and eight seconds from a stunt dummy employed) the film was cancelled in disappointment, which probably came the first blow that could have been the beginning of an A-list career. Through the years she didn't have any trouble getting the lead role in a range of movies, including the wildly successful television series Born Innocent (1974) (the #1 TV movie of that year) as well as Sarah T. - Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic (1975) in addition to the Exorcist sequel Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977). They arrested her and gave her three years of probation following being pushed by her peers to purchase cocaine as she was turning 18 years old. The widely-publicized bust for drugs caused Linda to be banned from Hollywood which slowed her progress. Her film career soon slowed down to B-movies and occasional TV appearances as a guest
